- Join the ChatGPT beta program by following the beta registration link and clicking «Become a tester».
- Please wait a few minutes for the update to appear on Google Play, then update the app.
- Open ChatGPT version 1.2025.070 after updating, then click on your avatar in the lower right corner.
- Go to the «Voice» settings and turn on the «Background conversations» setting.
- Go back to the chat window and click on the wave icon in the text field.
- Let the voice load completely
- Press and hold the power button to open the assistant selector and select ChatGPT
If the assistant selector does not appear automatically:
- Go to Android settings and find the item «Default applications» In it, find the settings «Assistance and voice input».
- Choose ChatGPT as your online assistant
If ChatGPT still doesn’t appear as an option, you should uninstall and reinstall the app, then repeat the steps above.
